Housing Adaptations Assessments
This in-home evaluation assesses how well an individual’s living environment supports their daily functioning and identifies recommendations to optimise independence and safety.
These assessments are especially valuable for older adults, individuals with disabilities or those recovering from illness or injury. Following the assessment, the occupational therapist will provide a report outlining recommendations which may include home modifications, adaptive equipment or changes to routines to improve quality of life and enhance safety. By tailoring the environment to the individual's needs, occupational therapists empower people to live more safely and independently at home.
